“Where Are You?” takes place in Queens, New York City, and focuses on my Korean American family. Using objects, places, and people, I explore themes of isolation, home, and nostalgia through imagery drawn upon my childhood memories. Weaved together are images of various places: my grandmother’s house, my great aunt’s apartment, and my parents’ apartment. Collectively these places become the home of my past. Gone are the times of family gatherings and left are the remnants that exist only within photos and in my memory.
